Luxxamed in arthrofibrosis

How Luxxamed can help with arthrofibrosis

In arthrofibrosis there is a pathological increase of connective tissue cells, the fibrocytes. This process is triggered by inflammatory processes in the tissue. Often, arthrofibrosis is a complication of surgery. Many cases after a reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament. A derivation of the emergence could result from a deficiency supply of the tissue. As a result of the inflammatory mediators released as a result, swelling states occur which restrict the mobility of the joint. In addition, there is pain in the joint. If timely control of excess collagen synthesis is not possible, scar tissue can form and the symptomatic ‘appearance’ of arthrofibrosis develops. (Schellenberg, 2018, p. 15)

Schellenberg (2018) describes the treatment with the Luxxamed as a possible and modern approach to the therapy of arthrofibrosis. Increasing ATP synthesis and subsequent protein synthesis can significantly accelerate the healing and regeneration processes. In addition, the use of microcurrent can contain and regulate the inflammatory processes in the tissue which cause the situation of arthrofibrosis.

Schellenberg (2018) introduces the micro current therapy with the Luxxamed devices. His reasoning is that the Luxxamed devices are capable of performing a diagnostic measurement of the individual situation in the tissue. Based on this analysis, specific frequencies and, most importantly, individual currents in the microcurrent range are delivered to the arthrofibrotic tissue. (Schellenberg, 2018, p. 15)
